Fourteen of our young achievers bagged placement offers in one of the top notch product based company [Amazon] equaling a package of 6 LPA. They got the offer post a grueling series of rounds in which their algorithmic skills were put to test.

Bosch placement offer for 42 computer science students

The multinational giant Bosch hired 42 computer science students post a series of rounds designed to test intricate knowledge of core computer science concepts. The avid performers were given a placement offer of 5 LPA and 24 more were selected for internship opportunities at Bosch.

Two Hundred and Forty Two students secured offers on Day 1 of placements

Around 242 students aligned with the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering received placement offers from top tech companies. Of these 130 students got offers from CTS and 112 students were offered a package of 3.4 LPA from Capgemini.

LPU student won gold medal in India Skills competition

LPU CSE student Soumyajit Dutta has made us all proud by winning gold medal at India Skills competition. Soumyajit will now represent India at World Skills Competition to be held in Russia.Competing with thousands of participants in New Delhi , Soumyajit also became member of AWS Educate program and $500 of cloud credit.

LPU students bagged 1st Runner Up prize in Punjab Start Up Yatra

Our student entrepreneurial team” Digantra Research and Technologies” have flagged themselves on top of the list of 'Startup India Punjab Yatra'. A 20 day long search for Innovative Startups by Punjab Government and Startup was organized by the State Government at ISB, Mohali on 6th February. “SMART HOME” is an IOT based device which aids in controlling the home appliances by using various sensors. After controlling this sensory information based upon sensors and data, it will notify the user the status of lights and other electronic appliances on his/her smart phone. This product is highly energy efficient and also helpful in saving electricity.

Face Prediction System

A face prediction system that draw the image of any entity (not only person’s image). The interface is created by using JAVA8 language through which user can give the inputs and the interface can totally operate in offline mode. This system can help to detect and draw criminal faces which can help to reduce crime rate in our society.

Intelligent Cap for Blind People

This project is called as Intelligent Cap. It is a prototype of an upgraded sensor device with three main features for the blind people. Firstly, it’s for detecting obstacles and measures the distance ahead. The uses of ultrasonic sensor thus help to identify the things and buzzer to indicate obstacles. The handle of the cap is cover with soft pad that equip with buzzer in order to alert the user senses on upcoming obstacles through the cap.


With the increasing in populations and development there are a number of obstacle which occur and can be the reason to cause collisions which is big threat to blind people. This mobile embedded device can help visually impaired individuals with their independent mobility. The device will direct them and alert the user of any potential obstructions in their path. It contains GSM facility for calling and messaging if the blind persons are in trouble.

Palm Reader

Automatic Palm Reader Using Fuzzy Logic (APR-FL) software employs the ancient palm reading techniques to determine the characteristics and behavior of a person.

Wireless Bag

A trolley bag, which works with mobile app to move in any direction like forward/backward/left/right, will help to remove a major problem of dragging trolley bag while commuting on foot.

Home Automation and Security System

Home Automation and Security System is a project which enables the user to control his appliances through mobile application, webpage, and speech recognition system and is also a game which can be controlled by sensors.


Blood Delivery drone system using Hexcopter Y type Drone from one hospital to another in a city to reduce transportation time, cost, and pollution caused by Ambulances.

Intelligent Parking System

This project automates the complete process of parking to overcome the limitations of manual parking. In order to implement this project; Image Processing and JAVA are used as backend techniques.

UNIFLIK Intra-university Advertisement App

It is an intra-university classified advertisement application based on Android platform which allows users to post advertisements of selling used products and to post demands of products required.

Tank Modelling Game

‘Space Tanks’ is a single player action game that combines the strategic planning of a real-time strategy game with the fast paced combat of an action game. This game is developed in C# using Unity 3D tool.

Motion & Object Sensor

Recognizing hand gestures by taking input from web camera and using them for controlling cursor movements like left click, right click, selection and movement.

LPU Student Completed Mountaineering Course in J&K

LPU NCC cadet Nitesh kumar saini pursuing (CSE) attended special mountaineering course in Jammu & Kashmir. He climbed the height from 9000ft to 15300ft with a weight of 15 kg in 4 hours. He also got an opportunity to get trained from officers and jawans of Indian Army and Air Force.

LPU Students Bagged First Position at North-India Cyber Security Hackathon at IIT Delhi

LPU Students’ Team ‘Fraud Finders’ won the North India Cyber Security Hackathon held at IIT Delhi from 11th to 13th April 2018. Students from various colleges and universities from North India participated in the event at which the aim was to design solutions for cyber security. The winners were awarded a seed-funding of Rs. 50,000. The students were honored by Sh. Rakshit Tandon, the cyber security expert who works closely with government organizations.
