LPU celebrated National Productivity Week from 12th -18th February 2019, with the theme “Circular Economy for Productivity and Sustainability”. The event saw a huge participation from the LPU fraternity.
On 16th October, 2018 students of M.A. Leadership and Management visited IVY World School, a premier institution in school education, and interacted with the principal and teachers. M.Ed. Students visited Educational Multimedia and Research Centre, Punjabi University, Patiala to attend UGC sponsored workshop on "E-Content Development and Understanding MOOCs" -May, 2017.
A guest lecture on Open Educational Resources (OER) was organized on 23rd August, 2018 for the students of School of Education. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Kumar Misra, Ex-Dean & Head, Department of Education, C.C.S. University, Meerut was the resource person. Students were made aware about different open educational resources, benefits and challenges in using them and the Creative Common Licensing required for open educational resources.
School of Education organized a workshop on Clay Modeling and Collage Making on 18th August, 2018 for the students of B.Ed, B.A. B.Ed and B.Sc. B.Ed. Mr. Saroj Sarkar and Mr. Sushant from the department of Fine Arts were the resource persons for the workshop which helped the students to exhibit their creativity and develop appreciation for art.
School of Education organized a National Seminar on “Trends and Issues in Education and Psychology”. More than 300 delegates from across the country participated in the Seminar. Discussions were held on Innovative Teaching Methods.
To elevate the research aptitude and application of SPSS in social sciences, two day workshop on data analysis was organized for 60 college teachers, Ph. D. research scholars and students from different parts of Punjab.
International conference on “Shaping Future Classroom” was organized .by School of Education at LPU campus.
