A drone which can be guided by remote control can be used on agriculture land to analyze the soil nutrient status and water stress.

Haqaeponic project showcases a novel technology in which plants are grown in artificial environment without soils with hydroponics, aquaponics and aeroponics.

The project involves growing of various crops using mineral nutrient solution. Thus learners learn the art of growing with the ethics of mineral nutrients.

Swatch Bharat Scheme Ambassadors

LPU students are declared as Youth Ambassadors of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s passionate clean India mission, commonly called as ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA)’. Students have also received cash prize of Rs. one lakh, paid internship for six months and coveted offer of free education for post graduation. 


LPU Agriculture students won 1st prize at AIU-ANVESHAN

Mr. Kunal Adhikary, B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.) 4th year student and Amandeep Singh, M.Sc Chemistry First year, has won First prize for their innovative project entitled "Ensemble bio bridge: an effective sewage water treatment and agro water utility" at ANVESHAN: Students' Research Convention (North Zone) at ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal on 28-29 December, 2015.

Research stay and an Edu-excursion Camp at TERI University New Delhi.

" Students of Agriculture and Forestry had a research stay and an edu-excursion Camp at TERI university New Delhi. The international camp was organized to share innovative projects surfaced by students related to sustainable water resources management. The camp included national and internationals experts specialized in water resource management.


LPU Agriculture students won regional water resources competition

Students from the School of Agriculture have won Inter-University Regional Competition on Water Resources Management for their proposal on floating Island approach for sustainable development of Kanjli wetland (in District Kapurthala, Punjab). The different levels’ competition is a clarion call to Indian youth to take the lead in solving India’s water problems. Planned by the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), competition is funded by Robert Bosch Stiftung, WAPCOS, Ministry of Water Resources Government of India and US-AID.
